The village of Ruhanga is a beautiful place to visit and offers
rural walks in their untouched splendour as well as insights into
a totally different way of life.
In this section we showcase some of our favourite photographs of
Ruhanga village from its landscapes, views, people and way of
life. Many of these images have been taken by children
living in the village.
When visiting Ruhanga in rural south-west Uganda most take a camera with them to capture forever the exquisite scenery. Be mindful though that is a traditional working community and many adults do not like to have their photographs taken. Some simply because they see it as an intrusion, others believe that "westerners" want to sell their pictures whilst others hold a traditional belief that once photographed their soul is captured never to return. Please therefore be respectful when taking photo images of Ruhanga and always ask for permission beforehand.
